Tale Behind The Artwork

Anubis was considered a great god for funerals. He was depicted in temples taken the shape of a big black guarding dog sitting one a square base. He took the body of “the jackal” which is one of the fastest animals thus his responsible for getting the spirit fast into the mummy. It is one of the greatest and the most famous discoveries that belongs to the king TUTُs tomb which was discovered in 1922. This statue is kept now in the Egyptian museum in Cairo. This statue was made of wood, which was painted by a black color. Its eyes was made of Alabaster its ears and eyes were limited by gold and its talons was made of silver.
